DescriptionApplications are now being accepted for the above positions, which are directly responsible to the Recreation Facility Manager through the supervision of the Aquatic Centre Manager. This position is a minimum 35 hrs/week & may vary to 40 hrs from week to week. The successful candidate will be required to work weekend, evening & occasional split shifts.Duties & Responsibilities; General Lifeguard & Instructing Duties. Leading of all types of Aqua-fit, Seniors/ACT & Deep-Water Hydro Fit classes. A variety of office duties as assigned, including cashing out at the end of the day. Janitorial duties as assigned. Conduct Leadership courses such as First Aid/CPR, NLS, WSI & others. Maintain a high level of customer service & satisfaction. Program supervision/evaluation. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Red Cross First Aid/CPR Instructor Certification or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire date, or first available course offered through Red Cross, whichever comes first. Lifesaving Society Examiner /Mentor status an asset. Red Cross Instructor Trainer Certificate an asset. NLS Instructor/Examiner Certificate an asset. Aquafit Certificate or willing to enter the first available course offered through SPRA, or equivalent training agency. Current National Lifeguard Service Award (NLS). Current Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Award (WSI). Current Lifesaving Society Instructor Award (LSI) Current Standard First Aid/CPR "C" Minimum of a current Saskatchewan Health Level I Pool Operator Certificate. Experience with supervision of personnel, as well as handling cash an asset. WHIMIS Certification. Salary & Benefits: Per CUPE Agreement, depending on current certifications.
